Předmětem zájmu studie jsou názory graduovaných psychologů působících v Česku a na Slo-vensku na některé otázky vtahující se k lidské psychické odolnosti. Tento fenomén budí pozor-nost odborníků i laické veřejnosti díky nutnosti zvládání četných nároků kladených v životě na jedince. Cílem je analýza názorů českých a slovenských psychologů na vymezení psychické odolnosti s ohledem na aktuální situaci ve vymezování odolnosti v teorii, názorů na hlavní fak-tory, které odolnost ovlivňují, případné genderové souvislosti a vztah odolnosti a zdraví. Vý-zkum, kterého se zúčastnilo 221 psychologů, byl realizován pomocí ankety distribuované prostřednictvím webu, propagované autorem osobně a v odborném tisku. Výsledky naznačují, že většina respondentů se přiklání spíše k pojetí psychické odolnosti jako genderově nespeci-fické schopnosti, individuální dispozice, významně související se zdravím, která je podstatně ovlivňována vedle konkrétních okolností také sociálními a kulturními faktory.

The subject of the study is the opinions of graduated psychologists working in the Czech Re-public and Slovakia on some issues related to human psychological resistance. This phenome-non attracts the attention of experts and the general public due to the need to cope with the numerous demands placed on individuals in life. The aim of the study is to analyze the opinions of Czech and Slovak psychologists on the definition of mental resistance, with respect to the current situation in defining resistance in theory, opinions on the main factors affecting re-sistance, possible gender context and the relationship of resistance and health. The research, which was attended by 221 psychologists, was carried out by means of a survey distributed through the web, promoted by the author in person and in the professional press. The results indicate that the majority of respondents tend to think of mental resistance as a gender non-specific ability, individual disposition, which is significantly related to health, which is signif-icantly influenced by social and culture factors in addition to specific circumstances.
