positive psychology, resilience, personal well-being
Annotation in original language:
When we think about why the use of positive psychology should lead to increasing resilience in pupils and students, the possible answer is that positive psychology also focuses on methods for increasing personal well-being, which is an important factor in personal resilience. The key issue in positive education is the fact that resilience can be taught and practised. Improving one´s well-being leads to improving one´s learning. The article provides an outline of how to use positive psychology in education. We lay emphasis on the opportunity to use creative thinking, to learn new things, and to use critical thinking rather than emphasising abidance by orders. We will explore options of how and when to introduce positive psychology interventions at school.
