This is the home page of the electronic system for the elections to the academic senates of the university and the faculties = e-Election.
Information about the elections is to be found on the website of the Academic Senate of the University of Ostrava or of the individual faculties, according to whether they are all-university or faculty senate elections:
In general, academics elect academics (separately) and students elect students.
The elections are conducted according to the electoral codes of the individual senates:
Electoral Code of the Academic Senate of the University of Ostrava
Electoral Code of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Social Studies
Electoral Code of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Arts
Electoral Code of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Fine Arts
Electoral Code of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Medicine
Electoral Code of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Education
Electoral Code of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Science.
The number of candidates you can vote for within an election depends on the academic senate you elect to and on whether you are a student or an academic; the system of e-Election will always inform you how many candidates you can support within the respective election.
How to vote?
Log in to the Portal with your user name and password
It does not matter you have more user names – after logging in, e-Election will ask you to choose under which identity you want to vote – however, within the respective election you can only vote once!
After logging in, the list of candidates for the given election will be displayed on your screen
In case there is no list displayed, there are probably no elections in progress or you are not a legitimate voter in the respective election. To verify whether you are a legitimate voter in the on-going election, read the electoral code of the academic senate or of your faculty, and then contact the chair of the respective electoral commission.
Vote by marking the candidate’s name on the list of candidates (electronic list of candidates)
e-Election will not let you mark more candidates than you are entitled to vote for
