Cílem článku je zhodnotit postavení JUDr. Milady Horákové v českých dějinách, v české historické paměti a současně v učebnicích české historie společně s dalšími osobnostmi jako jsou Karel IV., Jan Hus a Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. Text analyzuje a porovnává toto téma v učebnicích dějepisu pro 9. ročník základních škol a 4. ročník středních škol. Uvádí také další materiály o Miladě Horákové (filmy, publikace, internetové zdroje) vhodné pro výuku o ní. Stěžejní částí tohoto článku jsou výsledky dotazníkového výzkumu, který byl realizován ve školách, abychom zjistili, jak mladí lidé v současných školách vnímají a chápou tuto velmi důležitou osobnost naší moderní historie.

The aim of this article is to evaluate the position of JUDr. Milada Horáková in the Czech history and in the Czech historical memoir and in the same time in the Czech history textbooks together with other personalities as Charles IV, Jan Hus, Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk. It analyses and compares this theme in history textbooks for the 9th grade od basic schools and for the 4th grade of secondary schools. It also mentions extra materials on Milada Horáková (films, publications, Internet sources) suitable for teaching about her. The most important part of this material are the results of questionaire research which was organized at schools to get to know how young people in contemporary schools perceive and understand this very important personality of our modern history.
