Tento článek pojednává o tvorbě polského prokletého básníka a literárního outsidera Jana Rybowicze (1949-1990), autora tří básnických sbírek: Być może to (1980), Wiersze (1986), O kay (1990) a čtyř knih povídek: Samokontrola i inne opowiadania (1980), Inne opowiadania (1985), Wiocha Chodaków (1986), Czekając na Becketta (posmrtně, 1991). Rybowicz se do historie zapsal především jako autor groteskně laděných povídek z prostředí polského venkova. Dnes je považován za jednoho z nejoriginálnějších polských provincionálních tvůrců. Cílem naší studie je zanalyzovat druhou zásadní tematickou oblast Rybowiczových děl, a sice texty věnované problematice „býti umělcem“. Rybowicz se v nich zabývá otázkou kým je básník a jaké je jeho poslání na tomto světě. Rybowicz se této problematice věnoval v řadě svých básní i próz. Při svých úvahách se výrazně odrazil od učení modernistických tvůrců přelomu 19. a 20. století.

This article focuses on the work of the Polish cursed poet and literary outsider Jan Rybowicz (1949-1990), the author of three collections of poems: Być może to (1980), Wiersze (1986), Okay (1990) and four books of short stories: Samokontrola i inne opowiadania (1980), Inne opowiadania (1985), Wiocha Chodaków (1986), Czekając na Becketta (post-mortem, 1991). Rybowicz went down in history mainly as the author of grotesquely tuned stories from the Polish countryside. He is currently reputed to be the one of the most original Polish provincial authors. The goal of our study is to analyse the 2nd crucial field of Rybowicz works, namely pieces of writing that are dedicated to problems of " being an artist ". Rybowicz was trying to find out here who the poet is actually and what is the poet´s role in this world. Rybowicz devoted himself to those problems in a number of his poems and proses. His thoughts markedly differed from the teachings of the modernists at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
