The paper deals with the topic of intergenerational learning, mainly aimed at inter generational reading. At first the basic terminology is explained and then both concepts and their interconnection are clarified. The paper is focused on particular manifestations of inter-generational learning which are illustrated through specific examples, reflecting the Czech situation. The conclusion of the paper brings the reflection of new options and relations of the Czech interpretation of inter-generational learning and reading, as a support for the inter-generational educational aspect in the society.
