Text Mužské a ženské řehole jako objekt komunistické perzekuce v českých zemích 1948-1964 poukazuje na skutečnost, že mužské i ženské řády a kongregace byly v uvedeném období komunistické vlády v českých zemích podrobeny trvalé perzekuci, lišící se v různých etapách tohoto období pouze svou intenzitou. Nejdramatičtěji byly postiženy řehole v 50. letech- došlo k faktické likvidaci mužských řádů během tzv. akce K v roce 1950- přepadení klášterů StB, internaci více než 1200 řeholníků a zabavení klášterních budov. Ženské kláštery byly likvidovány postupně, sestry musely opouštět nemocnice a ústavy a byly izolovány od veřejnosti. Řeholníci i řeholnice byli zadržováni v internačních a centralizačních klášterech, např. Želiv, Hejnice, Bohosudov, Osek, Broumov, řeholníci byli také posíláni k Pomocným technickým praporům.

This study provides a summary of these issues; it refers to the fact that male and female Orders and Congregations were subject to persistent persecution in the Czech Lands in the afore-mentioned period of Communist Party rule. Persecution did vary in its intensity during the differed stages of this period. The Orders were most dramatically affected in the 1950s when the male Orders were in reality liquidated during the so-called Action K, which occurred in 1950, when units of the State Security Service (StB in Czech) raided the monasteries. More than 1200 monks were interned and monastery buildings were confiscated. Convents were liquidated more gradually; nuns had to leave hospitals and care homes where they were working. They were isolated from the public. Monks and nuns were detained in internment centres and centralised monasteries, for example, the monasteries at Želiv, Hejnice, Bohosudov, Osek and Broumov.
