Kapitola se zaměřuje na oblast diagnostiky přístupů k učení u studentů učitelských oborů a popisuje vybrané výsledky výzkumu užívání studijních materiálů studenty při přípravě na zkoušku nebo zápočtovou písemku. Hlavní výzkumné problémy se vztahovaly k otázkám: Jaké studijní materiály používají studenti učitelství při přípravě na zkoušky a zápočty? Jaké faktory ovlivňují výběr studijních materiálů, které studenti používají? Za významný faktor byl považován přístup k učení (hloubkový, povrchový, strategický). Výzkumnými metodami byly dva dotazníky. Výsledky výzkumu mezi studenty učitelství OU ukázaly, že mezi nejčastěji používané zdroje patřila skripta a pak hlavně nepublikované materiály zpracované studenty a učiteli. Souvislost mezi frekvencí užívání studijních materiálů a přístupem k učení se potvrdila v případě monografií, odborných článků, společně zpracovaných otázek a vypracovaných otázek získaných od spolužáků.

The chapter is focused on the diagnostics of approaches to learning of teacher students. It describes the chosen results of the research on the use of teaching and learning materials at higher education. Main research problems were related to the following questions: What teaching and learning materials do teacher students use when preparing for an exam? What factors influence the selection of materials the students use? We considered the approaches to learning (deep, surface and strategic) to be an important factor influencing the selection. Two questionnaires were applied to find the answers to the research questions. The research results showed that the most frequently used resources were course books and lecture notes. The relationship between the frequency of teaching and learning materials use and the students? approaches to learning has been verified for monographs, research articles, notes worked up together with classmates and notes borrowed from classmates.
