Studie se zaměřuje především na období průmyslové revoluce v ostravské uhelné pánvi, sleduje migrace obyvatel a jejich bytovou situaci a možnosti a limity bytové politiky na příkladu jednoho z největších průmyslových podniků, který se primárně nezabýval jen železniční dopravou, ale zasahoval svými aktivitami také do hornictví.

This article focused particularly on the time of the industrial revolution in the Ostrava coal basin. It analyses both the migration of workers and their housing situation on the one hand, the possiblities and litimits of the housing policy on the other hand. The core of this research is the housing policy of the one of the biggest join-stock company in the Ostrava, interesting not only in railways, but also in the mining industry.
