Popis v původním jazyce: Studie hodnotí dosavadní stav výzkumu industrializace v české historiografii a na základě studia zahraničních autorů se vyjadřuje ke vztahu industrializace a dějin průmyslu a ke vztahu industrializace a prostoru. Poukazuje na pojmoslovné problémy při výzkumu industrializace a na příkladu Ostravska poukazuje na praktické problémy výzkumu industrializace v průmyslovém regionu, který se nekryje s jeho administrativně-správním vymezením.

The paper evaluated the contemporary situation of the research of the industrialization process. It showed the opinions of the foreign historians and sociologist and expressed the connextion between industrialization and the history of industry and relationships between industrialization and space. It focused on the problems with ?terminology?. It showed practical problems of reserach of industrialization in industrial region, which wasn´t the same as the administrative one on the example of Ostrava region.
