The author of this paper pays attention to selected problems of linguistic economy. She stresses this fact, that this linguistic law affects significantly all levels of contemporary Russian and Czech. She describes some productive word-formative types of derivation by suffixation of the nouns, which are characteristic for processes of compression on the lexical level.
