Příspěvek se zabývá možnostmi informačních technologií při zlepšování komunikačních schopností dětí se specifickými poruchami, jako jsou poruchy autistického spektra, Downův syndrom, mentální retardace a podobně. Na příkladu vývoje aplikace vycházející z komunikačního systému PECS (The Picture Exchange Communication System) a jeho české varianty VOKS ukazuje příspěvek specifika vývoje a ověřování softwaru pro danou skupinu hendikepovaných uživatelů.

This paper is about the project for design effective usage of information and communication technologies for communication with children with autistic disorder. The project bases on the knowledge of the communication system PECS (The Picture Exchange Communication System) and also the methodology named ?Exchange picture communication system?, that is used on some czech special schools. The normal exchange of pictures on cards seems to be less effective and often hard due to the specificity of the particular defect. Modern information and communication technologies should bring more effective communication, its simplification and general improvement. On the other hand normal forms of controlling software systems are not suitable for such children. Therefore we present the project which should design optimal software and hardware solutions in the following areas.
