The goal of this paper is to present a general object-oriented design of component useful in association rules mining process. Our proposal faces the problem of developing unified interface to algorithms for searching frequent conjunctions which is used in many approaches for mining association rules of various types. Our paper first introduces the reader to the most common association rule types. A definition of frequent conjunction is given and the role of it in association rules mining process is discussed. We also provide additional motivation showing the way how to mine the cosymmetric rules. After that, we present the design of unified object-oriented interface to the frequent conjunction searching algorithms usable in association rules mining process.
