Key words in English:
Frédéric Dard, alternations of graphic form of words and idioms, puns, graphemes.
Annotation in original language:
Frédéric Dard utilise dans son oeuvre toutes les alternances possibles de la forme graphique des mots et des locutions figées. Il forge ainsi un grand nombre des jeux de mots a double sens.
Annotation in english language:
Frédéric Dard uses in his works many different alternations of graphic form of words and idioms. Creating these types of puns is easy in French because the French orthography is frequently ambiguous, i.e. several graphemes can transcribe one speech sound (or phoneme). It brigns various possibilities to adjust to one phonic sequence various graphic forms with totally different semantic content. The rich invention of graphic equivalents in Frédéric Dard´s works represents author´s imagination and testifies his mother tongue sense.
