Příspěvek seznamuje čtenáře s možnostmi zachování důlních strojů po ukončení hlubinné těžby černého uhlí v České republice. Představuje stav současných muzejních sbírek a na jeho základě navrhuje výběr reprezentativních zástupců poslední etapy těžby určených k zachování. Současně upozorňuje na specifické problémy spojené s jejich záchranou, zejména na náročnost transferu rozměrných exponátů a hledání vhodných míst pro jejich nové umístění.

This chapter introduces the possibilities for preserving mining machinery following the end of underground hard coal mining in the Czech Republic. It presents the current state of museum collections and, based on their analysis, proposes a selection of representative examples from the final stage of coal mining for museum preservation. It also highlights the specific challenges associated with their preservation, particularly the complexity of transporting large-scale artefacts and identifying suitable locations for their relocation.
