Popisuje nejčastější patologické změny nehtů u diabetiků, včetně zarostlých nehtů, onychomykózy a onychogrypózy, a uvádí jejich diagnostiku a terapeutické přístupy. Dále se věnuje problematice hyperkeratóz, ragád, puchýřů a kuřích ok jako preulcerativních stavů s rizikem rozvoje ulcerace. Zdůrazněna je role pravidelné pedikérské péče, edukace pacientů a multidisciplinárního přístupu v prevenci i terapii komplikací diabetické nohy.

This chapter focuses on the management of nails, hyperkeratoses, and pre-ulcerative lesions as an essential component of diabetic foot prevention. It describes the most common nail pathologies in diabetic patients, including ingrown nails, onychomycosis, and onychogryphosis, along with their diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. The chapter also addresses hyperkeratoses, fissures, blisters, and corns as pre-ulcerative conditions with a risk of ulcer development. Emphasis is placed on regular podiatric care, patient education, and a multidisciplinary approach in both prevention and treatment of diabetic foot complications.
