The article discusses the operational goals of the Operational Programme Just Transition REFRESH project in the Moravian-Silesian Region, coinciding with the end of coal mining operations. Researchers from the Faculty of Education at the University of Ostrava are examining the experiences of adults in this sector and their children under the Social Lab 4 sub-programme, focusing on their professional and personal development. A structured questionnaire targets the educational needs of 500 mining company employees, which will inform the planning of educational activities through 2026. This research establishes a foundation for targeted consulting, educational, and self-educational initiatives.
