Key words in English:
primary and secondary schools, teachers, online learning, face-to-face learning, advantages and disadvantages, Covid-19, Czech Republic, questionnaire survey
Annotation in original language:
It might seem that the area of online learning and its comparison with face-to-face learning no longer offers any scope for research, as a number of studies have already addressed this area. However, most of them have so far focused on the university environment, and this was mainly before the Covid-19 pandemic. The experience with online learning during Covid-19 pandemic, thus opened up a new area for research on online learning, i.e. in primary and secondary school settings. In our research, we focused on the current perceptions of online learning held by current primary school and secondary school learning across the Czech Republic. In response to the experiences of online learning that absolutely all teachers have had, we decided to find out what current primary and secondary school teachers consider to be the advantages and disadvantages of online learning compared to the advantages and disadvantages of face-to-face learning. In our article we present the results of a questionnaire survey conducted among Czech primary and secondary school teachers this school year. And we will present the mentioned advantages and disadvantages of online and face-to-face learning. In this article, we introduce the elements of online learning that have been gradually integrated into face-to-face learning as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
