Reprezentativní publikace o historii a kultuře specifického regionu Valašska, jež vznikla ve spolupráci Ostravské univerzity s Národním muzeem v přírodě, je již třetí v řadě. Po úvodním, obecnějším svazku (2014) a pokračování věnovaném obživě (2019), které jsou v tuto chvíli již rozebrány, vychází třetí díl zaměřený na duchovní život. Kniha obsahuje 31 příspěvků z rozličných humanitních oborů (historie, etnologie, literární historie, jazykověda, dějiny umění ad.), které sledují proměny duchovního života na Valašsku v historii i současnosti, zabývají se otázkami víry, náboženství, církví a jejich staveb, umění, ale též např. proměnami duchovní kultury v souvislosti s rozvojem školství a občanské společnosti nebo obrazem regionu budovaným v médiích.

This representative publication on the history and culture of the specific region of Wallachia, created in cooperation between the University of Ostrava and the National Museum of Nature, is the third in a series. After an introductory, more general volume (2014) and a sequel devoted to means of subsistence (2019), which have now been sold out, the third volume, focusing on spiritual life, is being published. The book contains 31 contributions from various humanities disciplines (history, ethnology, literary history, linguistics, art history, etc.), which trace the changes in spiritual life in Wallachia in history and in the present, dealing with issues of faith, religion, churches and their buildings, art, but also, for example, with the changes in spiritual culture in connection with the development of education and civil society, or with the image of the region built in the media.
