Vyborka jazykovogo matěriala dlja opisanija sistěmnych svojstv nominativnych jedinic provoditsja iz těchničeskich těkstov oblasti stroitěl'stva, a takže tolkovych i dvujazyčnych slovarej sopostavljaemych jazykov. In this article, the semantics of terms and various types of word-formation relations are considered, a comparative analysis of the part of the construction terminology of the Czech and Russian languages is conducted. In the paper, the correlation of linguistic equivalents of construction terminology and the specifics of extralinguistic reality is analyzed. The selection of the language material for describing the system properties of nominative units is carried out from the technical texts of the field of construction, as well as the explanatory and bilingual dictionaries of the languages being compared. Attention is paid to the ways of word formation in Russian and Czech languages, as well as to the similarities and differences in the motivation of the lexicon of languages.
