Annotation in original language:	Słowo "praca" bogate jest w synonimikę i derywaty. Stoi wysoko w hierarchii wartości ludzkich. W artykule przedstawiona jest analiza stałych połączeń wyrazowych ze słowem praca lub jej synonimami występującymi w języku mieszkańców Śląska Cieszyńskiego. Z analizy wypłynęło, że praca była ważnym składnikiem ich życia i w większości przykładów była wartościowana pozytywnie.
Annotation in english language:	The word WORK is rich in synonyms and derivatives. It belongs to the highest evaluated human values. The article gives examples of phraseology, proverbs and short stories with the "work" component from Cieszyn Silesia. The analysis of these texts proves that for the inhabitants of Cieszyn Silesia diligence has been especially important. Laziness, on the other hand, was clearly negatively valued.
