The article resumes the topic of analysis focused on expressing infinite number. Approximate amount is understood as an interlink between finite and infinite quantity. The approximate expressing devices can be found on all of the language levels: lexical, grammatical and lexical-grammatical. The author classifies various semantic nuances of approximate in detail and describes the most frequent devices of expression with particular semantic types. Author?s attention is focused especially on those devices which differs in Czech and Russian and, as such, can be the source of frequent mistakes
