Second updated edition of a successful publication. This clear and perfectly modern textbook is intended both for preparation for exams and for everyday oncological practice. A team of authors from several complex oncology centers of the Czech Republic, led by doc. MUDr. Tomáš Büchler, Ph.D., made the vast majority of oncological diagnoses, with an emphasis on quick orientation. Epidemiology, symptomatology, etiopathogenesis, diagnosis and differential diagnosis, clinical stages according to TNM classification, course and prognosis are always briefly mentioned. The therapy is very carefully processed, both pharmacotherapy (from classical chemotherapy to targeted and biological treatment or immunotherapy), as well as radiotherapy or isotope treatment. It is the sections devoted to therapy that are the subject of a significant update in the second edition.
