Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, Immanuel Kant, ideal space

Studie se zabývá Leibnizovým pojetím prostoru coby ideální entity. Že Leibniz považoval od těles izolovaný prostor za cosi čistě ideálního, sice obvykle nebývá příliš zpochybňováno, v rámci této studie se však zaměřuji na ontologický status takto ideálního prostoru. Navzdory velice lákavé možnosti interpretovat jej v souladu s ontologií (či spíše epistemologií) kantovskou argumentuji, že Leibnizovo pojetí prostoru s kantovským není totožné, ani jej nijak nepřipomíná.

This paper is about Leibniz’ conception of space as an ideal entity. It is usually not being questioned that Leibniz considered space, if separated from bodies, to be something merely ideal. However, in this paper, I focuse on the ontological status of such an ideal space. In spite of a very tempting possibility to interpret it in accordance with Kantian ontology (or rather epistemology) I argue, that Leibnizian conception of space is neither identical with, nor does it even resemble the Kantian one.
