Nastoyashchaya stat'ya posvyashchena problematike peredachi toponimicheskih terminov na materiale russkogo i cheshskogo yazykov. V fokuse vnimaniya nahodyatsya processy transliteracii i transkripcii, osoboe vnimanie udelyaetsya perevodu. Perevod toponimicheskih terminov vosprinimaetsya kak perenos leksicheskih edinic iz yazyka-istochnika v yazyk-priemnik s pomoshch'yu lingvisticheskih sredstv. Perevod primenyaetsya dlya peredachi polileksemnyh toponimov, soderzhashchih v svoej strukture rodovoj ili individual'nyj elementy.

This article is devoted to the problem of transferring toponymic terms on the material of the Russian and Czech languages. The focus is on the processes of transliteration and transcription, special attention is paid to translation. The translation of toponymic terms is perceived as the transfer of lexical units from the source language to the target language using linguistic means. The translation is used to transferring polylexemic toponyms containing generic or individual elements in their structure.
